Drone Footage of WSRR Steam Engine
YouTube user Mike Purks posted this fantastic aerial footage of Walkersville Southern Railroad’s Steam Engine this week. Its a great way to see a Glade Valley treasure from a different perspective.
While steam engine rides have stopped for this year, the organization’s regular fleet of engines provide service every Saturday through September at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They also offer dinner trains and special excursions throughout the year.
The Walkersville Southern Railroad also offers charters for parties or events. Customers may charter a single car or the whole train. Their “Little Red Caboose” is a popular charter for kids’ birthday parties.
